The 13 mm Evacuable KBr Die Set, also known as an XRF Die Set or FTIR Die Set, is used for preparing pellets or circular discs for IR/FTIR solid sampling and analytical purposes. The most commonly used die produces a pellet size of 13 mm in diameter. The 13 mm KBr Die Set consists of a two-part die, tungsten carbide mirror-finished punches (anvils), a pusher rod, and a pellet removal ring. The die is fitted with a nozzle for evacuation, if required. It is manufactured from hardened stainless steel and can be easily dismantled for convenient cleaning and maintenance. The complete set is supplied in a velvet-lined teak-wood box, ensuring safe storage, durability, and protection of the components. The die can withstand a maximum load of 15 tons.
